Wild Cockatoo's in our tree

These were taken the other day and they turned out very nice (I think so anyway). The grevillea tree is in our back yard and the cockies have been hanging around for a couple of weeks now.

Lovely pics It's funny though the price I'd have to pay for those at a birdstore in the states and you have them flying into your back yard!! I mean I know you can't have them just funny though.

Tracey, that's one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I just get blown away by the idea of having 'Toos in your back yard. Thanks for the pics.

Have you guys seen the black ones I posted also? This tree is about 10 metres away from my verandah and normally galahs roost in it. Cockatoos (white ones and rose breasted galahs anyway) cost about $150.00 here. Very cheap compared to you guys, but we pay through the nose for macaws and greys etc.

For us here it is common place, kind of like having kangaroos in our back door step also. which we do have. I counted 18 one day, just outside our fence. We live in a country area, so we are kind of blessed with wildlife.

Isn't it great having them in the backyard. We have between 50 and 100 toos and corella's that roost in on our property evry night. It is amazing to see them.
