I would add some rings by taking one of the perches out, putting them on and replacing the perch. Something that might work for you is plastic teething rings for babies. You can also add hooks for hanging toys and tie some ropes here and there.

I would find some bird safe branches, cut them, and stuff the ends down the top open end of the PVC. It will be like little trees to chew on.

You could wrap some of the perching areas with Vet Wrap. I use it on my stands and it works great. Its relatively inexpensive at a feed store. I heard on one of the chats that if you scuff up the pvc, birds can get splinters. Don't know though. Great job though..

I have heard that the vet wrap can be hard to clean though if per say it became dirty...

oh growl, snarl, hisss hiss
I tried to upload, download or whatever a picture of a pvc perch I did for my birds showing that I wrapped the perches with sciscal rope. I just couldn't get it to attach so I posted it in the my members section of photo's.
I placed one end inside the end cap and them started to turn the perch until I could place the other end in the joint. It didn't take long and they have no trouble holding on. Joan, computer illiterate for sure. |
