Thanks!

Jerry is about 2.5 years old. Winston is presumably younger although we can't be sure - when we adopted him the pet store said that he was about 1 year old (he's been home with us for 5 months), but he was in at least one home before he in the pet store for about 2-3 months. So we can't be sure how old he is, but based on what the store says, he's about 1.5 yrs.

The reason I said that is the darker eye color and the lower amount of barring on the head.
Jerry is the Cobalt and Winston is the Sky correct?

Winston has a white iris, which you can see in the pics. Jerry actually has a brown iris - it's hard to see in person even! I used to think that by a certain age all budgie would develop the white iris, but I was quite wrong! So Jerry photographs with seemingly black beady eyes LOL but the iris is definitely brown.

The amount of barring my be skewed by length of feathers - Winston is an English budgie and all of his feathers, especially his head feathers, are quite a bit longer than Jerry's. When Winston's crest is completely flat he reminds me of Donald Trump with that comb-over of his

Jerry is (so I believe) a violet factor opaline, and Winston is presumed to be a grey factor - but I think you are also right in calling them cobalt (jerry) and sky (winston). I'm not too great with mutation colors....

OK, that explains it. Winston's darker head bars really make the light-blue eye color stand out. I was going to say from the size, Winston looks like an English and Jerry was probably a Reg.

LOL! Sorry, but that was almost a cruel comparison!
Winston's way cuter than Donnie T and that ridiculous pouffy hair helmet he wears....

Yeah, pinning down the full mutation isn't easy.
I was just using the most commonly excepted colors, not trying for an exact description of the color mutation.

I know it's a bad comparison but that's seriously what comes to mind when Winston's in "skinny" mode and his long head feathers lie flat on his head like a pancake

But yes, he's definitely cuter than Donald Trump
