Harness v. Flight Suit for TAG

I'm tryign to decide if I should buy a harness or a flight suit for my TAG. He is very tame and tolerates his wings being touched, but I plan to work with him more about being touched. Here's a link to the harness I'm looking at, and to the flight suits for those who dont know what they are. OH and I am in the process of potty training him. If you watch one of the videos on the flight suit site you see that the leash is attached to a double sided strip of velcro and fits between the velcro strips that keep the flight suit on. It doesnt seem terribly secure. My TAG is not a big bird, he's clipped and can't fly at all, he can barlely get enough wind under him to let him glide to the floor. What do you guys think? anyone have any experience with this particular type of harness or the flight suits? Thanks so much!

Harnesses would work if you're taking him outside. If you order one, order from this link:
http://www.claviaryonline.com/supplies.html

He is a breeder here in Pa. His prices are reasonably cheap. He would also be another grey't source for questions. He breeds Greys. Good luck.

thanks

Thanks for the reply. He does have good prices, but I'm not crazy about that brand of harness (feather tether) It has so much hardware on it. I like the design of the other one a lot better, looks more comfortable.

I would recommend a harness. Razz wears her's very well, she only goes outside while wearing it.

I have both types. I have one bird - Ruby, that will wear the harness and I have used the flight suit on my other eclectus. I prefer the flight suit. It's very lightweight where as the feather-tether is heavier with all the clasps. The tether also is more awkward to put on. If you go into stores or people's homes they are more comfortable in knowing the bird has a diaper on too.

Duh!

Oh, I TRIED to link to the harness before, so here it is. http://www.fredbird.net/products.html
I ended up buying this harness. I'm potty training Roman right now and it's only been 3 days we've been working on it, but he's alerady showing progress. He now "goes potty" on command before I remove him from his cage. I might end up with a flight suit eventually, but I'm hoping that the potty training and harness training go well.

BTW you'll notice that thi sharness is MUCH more light weight than the feather tether. I'll let you know how it goes when it gets here. I got a notice from them this morning saying it has shipped. Thanks for all the advice!
