Are the urates white? Green poops isn't a bad thing, per se. If you really worry, get a fecal test done. Everything can throw off poop. In fact, think of your own poops! I bet they've been a rainbow of colours at times! As for a 5 gram difference in weight? Not enough to worry about. His poops can weigh near that alone, and you can't be certain of how much food he had in his crop between weights. What you want to look for is a drop of 10% of the average daily body weight. Example; if Monty weighs 190, 192, 189, 194, 187 etc over a given week, you can pretty much do an average of about 190. A 10% drop from that would be your warning sign. Anything less is daily fluxuation, anything more is a couple of days of close observation - if continued to drop or not regain; a trip to the vet.

You can always tell a big macaw owner by the snickers that happen when someone with a smaller bird says "omg his poops are so big!".

As xafsmom asked, are the Urates still white?
Grace's poops reflect what she's eaten. She likes blackberries, raspberries, brocolli and peas, but her usual droppings are a slightly reddish-green due to her fruity blend pellets. If Monty's weight loss has stopped, I wouldn't be too worried - but yes keep an eye on him. Gracie has had a couple of instances of sudden drops of 5-10g almost over night, but always gains it back after a few weeks.

Well, I talked to the vet and she said she didn't think it was anything to worry about and I was just being paranoid so his appt. is still on for tomorrow where he is getting a full work up.
On top of that as soon as I posted this post I looked at him and he was preening himself and then started destroying a wood block and squealing so yep, I was being paranoid. I guess he might have just been a little extra tired this morning. His urates are white/off-white color so they are normal. It's just his poop that is green. I guess it freaked me out since my tiels poop is brown, the same color as their pellets but his has been green or mostly green with a slight brownish tinge even though the pellets are brown. Needless to say, he's acting perfectly normal now and has shown no sign of being sick at all...just me freaking out over nothing, lol. I'll just feel so much better after he gets into the vet!
