I have never met a bird so concerned about personal hygiene I tell you. Marti is sitting behind me and is repeatedly saying "Clean your beak" "Dirty Dirty Dirty" and rubbing his beak with his foot. He's got a case of the chatters today!! LOL

I'd also really like to know how he manages to rearrage the words he learns to say different things... he's currently putting curse words together and it's like living with a sailor!

Just had to get that on video (without the cussing LOL). Now I'll be back in an hour or three when I figure out how to upload them to youtube LMAO Sorry for the background noise in the first one... I had the air conditioner on! The second one is just because the first one was so fun LOL. The third one is because I'm crazy too!

He also looked at his foot during the video (third one LOL) and said "pretty toes"... I haven't heard him say that before!

These things take forever to upload... bad thing is while I'm waiting... I keep recording which is just going to take longer in the long run!

My Macaw will re arrange words also. He had about a 70 word vocab when we got him. Since we got him he has learned my son's name (tell you how much I am yelling for him or at him!!!lol). So now instead of calling for Zorro (old mommies dog that has been gone for over 5 years) he now will say "Alec, here boy (dog whistle to foloow). He will also say what the f*&^, but then turn around and say F*&^ off! He will also say ouw, but then says ouch, that hurt! Then he will take those and put themin another word arrangement. I think they know the words, so the "spice" it up a little.
Teal will also sit in his cage and whisper quietly to himslef. He either is saying all the words he knows or is practicing new one's he just hasn't gotten down patt yet.

When does a screaming fit, I just ignore him ,but when he is done we will be on his cage telling himself, " Bad, shut up, quit, stop it". All while saying this holding his foot up (like we do with our hands when saying stop).
He will also when I walk in the room, hold his foot up and say "HI"!

I think your gray is just saying those things when "cleaning" his beak because that is what was said to him while he was doing it. Thus he associates that word with that action!

Teal sounds so cute!! Marti has said bit** and the f word since we got him but he's learning to add other words to them like f off daddy when he doesn't love on him when he walks by and dirty bit** LOL I find it quite funny, especially when my kids start yelling "mommy! Marti has a potty mouth!"

off the top of my head this is what Teal says:
Stow it, Shut up, get back (with foot up), no my food is hot, for the love of God, ouch, ouw, looser, slacker, here boy, Alec (my son), F off, What the f, what the hell, HELP!!!!! (really loud like he needs life saving), stop, quit it, bad, LOVE IT, pick it up and throw it away,

plus many many more, those are all I can think of ASAP!

Marti says more than I can keep up with... and I swear it's something new every day! It will be really interesting to see what happens when Charlie gets here and they talk to eachother!

And have you ever noticed when you want them to say something they won't?? LOL We're trying to teach Marti to say excuse me when he burps and he won't. He just burps and then yells "shut up Marti!" LOL

And Diddle does that slow chin scratch too... doesn't matter how often they do it, it always makes me laugh!! Sometimes Marti does it and says "hmmmmmm" at the same time too!

Maybe Charlie will be compulsive about his beak too then we'd have bookends with clean beaks!
