I am not saying that...Have you ever smelled and Amazon? I hadn't up till a week ago and I tell you they smell like a stinky ferret or shunk! It is a horrible smell. So thus my macaw smells great now!!!!

LOL YES! I have ...thus, why I do not have Amazons! hehe Isn't it funny how differing we all are though about scents? That cracks me up! I know people that can't smell Zons, or Macaws and yet I get in their smell zone and my eyes water! My mother was like that when I was a kid. I'd be sneakily putting on nail polish in my room and she'd smell it from half across the house! I couldn't smell a thing!

Mmmmm...I love the way my fids smell.

Prinny smells like...clean clothes that have been sitting out in the sunshine.

Lu Belle has a mind of musty fruity smell that is way addictive

Beasley...seriously I LOVE the smell of a macaw and RF macaws smell the best...I could sit all day and huff him

Oh I agree with the stinky B&G... Minga stinks! And her and Pedro in the same room.... yuck. I have to open the window in there every morning or else I cannot stand to go in there because the door stays closed. We had about 10 baby chickens in there too... the smell is just a tad bit better now that they are gone but still not much!

Poor Chirpy, I've now been sat here for 5 mins constantly sniffing her trying to decide what she smells like. All I can say is she smells like herself and I love it. I'm glad I'm not the only bird sniffer around here!!

ROFL. I was thinking the same thing!

My older birds tolerate me sniffing them but aren't too crazy about it. Bugsy though, he loves it. I stick my nose in his feathers and he fluffs them up and makes little kissy noises

LOL, what a great thread!! I just ran to the bird room and sniffed all three, and they are all convinced that I've seriously lost it. My green cheek doesn't have much of a smell, but a mild "green" scent...like grass or the outdoors or something. My tiel used to smell like clean linen, and I used to sniff her all the time, but now that she's older, she smells more like talc with a touch of b.o. LOL. My parrotlet smells like fruit. Gotta sniff him quickly or get my nose bit.

I asked my daughter what Xaf smelled like to her. She grabbed him bodily, held him to her face and snorked his tummy. He squealed and flew off, looking very ruffled. My kid, never does things halfway! LOL

My ekkies have a strong odour. I didnt like it at first, but so used to it now, she smells hot. love giving her kisses on the neck and big bear hugs. Such an awesome bird. She bathes every morning now when I do my hair, she loves the hair dryer so she smells a lot better. Booger loves the hair dryer but hasnt tried taking a bath yet, he looks like he needs one though and not sure how to coax him into the water.
