What does a pionus do all day? (Pics)

Well, this is a day in the life of Monty...doesn't seem to bad huh?

First I find my sunflower seeds..I know they're in here somewhere!


Then it's time to do my job making wood chips on my boing mom made me(I know I'm cute but does she have to take a picture of EVERYTHING?)


Ooooo, now it's time for PEAS


Then I sit and try to undo this stinkin knot. It's the only one I can't figure out!


YAY! I get to take a bath! (look at my pretty feathers)


What's for dinner? My favorite spaghetti! (mom tried to get a pic of me eating but a bird needs SOME privacy)


Uh ohMom said it's time for bed...maybe if I hide over here she won't see me


Of course I didn't mention the couple hours I get to snuggle with mom while she watches TV and I get scritches the whole time!! She tries to get a pic of me but she can't hold the camera and pet me and come on, we all know what's more important

Well, that's pretty much Monty's day...every day. Except that one wood block is more like 15 of that size each day. I really should take a pic of the bottom of his cage at the end of they day. It looks like a rabbit should be living in there, lol.

I know what you mean about their woodchipper tendencies! I replace 1 x 2" perches in my breeder cages weekly. They never chew through the natural perches, but my guys try their darndest to pretend to be lumbermill workers.

Thanks everyone. He really does try to hide like that at bedtime too. He just started doing it a couple days ago but usually he is sitting with his face to the wall. He heard the camera turn on when I took that pic though. He's so funny!

the pionus is my dream bird...and sharing your life with Monty is about as close as I can get for now...thanks so much. he looks like he's a real joy! oh ps....bailey is my dream bird too! don't want to hurt his feelings.
