So where are a bird's shoulders??

I know it sounds silly lol but the White Fronted Amazon's are dimorphic and the key is whether or not the shoulders are red or green. I would think the "shoulders" are where the wings meet the back... if that's where they are.. he's a she!

I would think it would be considered the top of their wings, where they bend to go down. Parrtos techincally do't have shoulders. basicaly what I am trying to say is if you take the wing off, it would be the point of the "V" of the wing. Make sense?

Yep, that's what I was thinking but I looked up pics on Google and it looks like the males have red on the front edge of their wing and the females don't. He does have red there... but I don't see how that could be considered a shoulder LOL

Thank you Tina!!

Then he is definatly a boy. I thought so from the first pic that I had seen of him and what I had looked up online before we went to get him but when we got there, they started saying they thought he was a she. I told them no because you can tell by looking at them but then I started to second guess myself LOL.
