Nope, not spicy at all. It has a slightly nutty taste.

Please don't tell me the fruity zupreem is bad....

And if it's not ... thanks for the switching idea! LOL My fids are the same.

And no one here will eat the red chili pepper thingies. We pick them out now and save a step and just put them right in the trash.

I read a classified the other day that a fella wanted to trade his African grey for a pickup truck, another one just wanted any bird that would talk in trade for some other inanimate object and was going to give away the amazon he bought for his dad because it didn't talk and mentioned also that it didn't matter if the bird had any issues at all he just wanted one that would talk. I swear I have no idea what they are thinking just getting an animal because it can talk and that it doesn't matter if you can handle it or not. sheshe That bird will probable end up sitting in a cage all day and be lucky to get fresh food and water from that family.

Yeah I don't get that either.

And Robyn, I thought about what you said yesterday and my issue isn't with the 10 year old boy (except in the event that he is being had, I feel sorry for him)... it's in the fact that this lady will not even admit that the bird is plucked and has the gall to ask $100 for it. If she had the best interest of the bird in mind, she would give it away to someone who could care for it and would be upfront about the birds issues instead of saying she is molting.

I've been thinking about this post too.

Originally wasn't she willing to give it away to you Halo? your an adult.

Now she wants to charge a kid 100 bucks?
thats the part that bugged me the most.

NO matter what, that seems obnoxious.

All of the what if's and perhaps, COULD be true. and I hope that IS the case.

Yes, she was just giving her to me at first... because she saw a post we had looking for bird cages and it said we took in birds and so she thought we would be a good place for the tiel. We emailed her said okay we'd come and get it since we were on our way up to Denver anyway and then when we called her about an hour later, she told us about the 10 year old.

That's what gets me. It's the same as someone posting a macaw that is totally bald except for his head and asking $1000 for it without a cage... and yes, I've seen it done. Someone out there who has always wanted a macaw but doesn't know much and doesn't research before getting the bird could have some real issues on their hands.

Selling to a kid whose parents state is responsible enough (aka, the parents get the bird and allow the kid to interact with it) is fine! I've sold a few that way. I sell to parents though.

But, it's bad mojo realising you need to find a better home for a bird, then deciding to sell it to make some cash after you've been trying to GIVE it away, and lying about the health...mm...m.. yah bad mojo.

Some people just don't know any better! I remember an article of 3 guys who stole two "pit bulls" and took them to a petstore for some reason..... they didn't believe the employees when they said the dogs were chihuahuas!!! -> SCOOP QUIZ: What's the Difference Between a Pit Bull and a Chihuahua (Don't Ask These Three Idiots)
Although personally, I don't think that's as bad as the people who have a female bird who lays an egg, then they want to know how they can get a male to fertilize it... or worse yet, when their "male" lays an egg, and they want to know when it'll hatch!!!

As far as the Red Palm Oil though... besides what has already been mentioned, it also has essential fatty acids! It's got Vitamin E and K, and some other good healthy stuff!
Palm oil - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
America Palm Oil Council
Certified Organic Red Palm Oil - Palm Oil Group, Ltd.
Red Palm Oil from Golden Coast Foods
I'm actually planning on getting some, I just haven't actually looked for a good place to buy some!

OK...

Maybe she knows the kid, said she was getting rid of it, he said he wanted it, she told him it was $100 to discourage him.

Or... perhaps it is like me. I have rehomed animals... I NEVER do it for free. If you cannot afford $100 for a tiel with problems... you certainly cannot afford the vet check and treatment it may need!
