They're Poicephalus, like Senegals. In that family. In My Parrot, My Friend the author considers them as close to the perfect pet parrot there is! I've only actually seen one in real life (at TGF) but I think they're great. Of course actual owners of them will be able to tell you more.... I'm not much help!
I'd LOVE a turquoise GCC! =)

400 is a good price for a turquoise mutation. 700 is a great price for a Jardine. 700 for both is a steal.
Jardine's are wonderful birds, but can be VERY aggressive during breeding time. They're mate killers and even single birds going through seasonal 'issues' can turn very nasty. Otherwise though, awesome birds. |

Where have you read that Jardine's kill their mates?? I have never heard that before and would be very interested to know where you read it so I can check it out myself. Frankly, I find it a little hard to believe.

Don't most birds in captivity get a bad rap for killing their mates at one point or another? I can think of loads of parrot species I've heard that about. We know they aren't mate killers in the wild cause if there were there would be none left.. they'd kill each other off.
