Hard to Believe He Never Had Any Toys!

Today is day 10 and need to share just how quickly is guy is adjusting to living in heaven!!

Foot Toys!!

Cage starting to be fun inside You can see his head on top of the cage to the right of the rope perch

And this is where I hang the toys for the day before putting them on top of his cage to be checked out.

He is no longer afraid of the new stuff He immediately wants to check them out.

Hey... any clue who makes your cage? (brand? or where you got it?)

I have seen a few others here with that cage as well. I really like that drop-down platform door. Dudley needs a smaller cage (yes... this really CAN happen! LOL) due to his physical problems and this looks like it would be wonderful! Or perhaps even a smaller (less tall!) one by the same maker. His beak has finally healed and I am sick of washing pillow cases! LOL

BTW...

Vern is doing GREAT! I am so happy for you... but none too surprised. Birds, like kids, will often live up to our expectations... be they good or bad. I knew he would do well with you and your optimistic and outgoing attitude! Nervous owners tend to make for nervous pets... especially birds and horses.

It looks like a HQ cage to me.

Great job on teaching your grey to like toys!

He looks so happy!!
Wow, that's the exact same cage Oliver has!! That's HUGE for a grey! Unless it's the medium-sized cage... Kind of scary, since Ollie's is set up almost exactly like Vern's! The same rope perch above the cage, same toys including that brown cylinder one.. weird.

I think it's a Victorian macaw cage. Here's a link to one: </TITLE> <TITLE>The Feather Rainbow parrot and puppy related pet supplies, toys and novelties
It's near the middle of the page.

Yea that's the cage. By total coincidence I have the same one for Echo but it's white Vern's is light grey... Maybe because Vern was meant to come here after 20years of life!! I love the top door. In fact that's usually the only door I open on the cages. It's great for setting a bowl of air popped popcorn on when it's snack time too.

Just think he has 20 years of vocabulary that I will learn as time goes by. I started a blog about his day to day adjustment and another one with his vocabulary..
