Is this for a conure?

I might suggest this one instead, that one's a little on the small side:

Personally, I don't care for the cage. I don't like it when bars come to a point... as in a "V" shape. If it wasn't for that, I'd say it's a good cage...

It needs to be small... said conure has a few problems. Right now he is in something akin to this:
Mahalo ManorTM Playtop40" X 30" X 75"**Free Shipping!**: BIRDCAGES4LESS.com

I have owned this cage for over 10 years. The bottom is covered with 2 kingsized pillows that have newspaper over them.

His beak bruises are just now growing out!

Nope... need something small. He sits huddled in one corner all day afraid to move!

I don't like that feature either... but DO like the big platform.

Dudders prefers to be picked up with 2 hands "puppy" style. He cannot grip with his feet for step-ups... and I do not care for bruises from his beak. I hate using a towel. Right now we have rigged up a small platform that is attached to his door and he steps on it and I swing the door open and pick him up.

With a smaller cage, I am not sure that method would work. So I really like these "platform" doors!

Awwww.

I'm wondering if something similar to the layout of a ferret cage would work? I've seen a similar layout for parrots, I'll check and see if I can find it for you. Or would platforms/ramps inside the cages not be a good thing for his condition?

Have one of those for my GCC... LOVE it for the little guys... they really make use of the shelves!

Dudley is a Mitred conure that has unbelievably poor grip. It may be due to the fact of something in his past (like living under a milkcrate). I want a regular cage... to encourage him to perch more and to climb about. But the one he is in now is just too big, or at least too tall, and he falls and gets hurt. But I want it to have rather large diameter bars so he still TRIES.

He is not much into toys... but is getting better. As long as he does not have to move much to get to them! And he certainly does not "attack" them and such. So the cage need only be big enough for him, 2 or 3 toys, and his food and water.

He is out for a good hour in the morning and four at night. One of which is spent vigorously playing (working on parrot bodybuilding exercises! LOL) and one is spent snuggling. So it is more of a sleeping cage than anything else!

Not big on the 'fan' part, but in general, I think he'd like that. The platform is a winner!

I like the top opening out flat like that, but not a fan of the top either.

I love the one you've got him in though! Too bad it's not working out for him.
