CL ad...not funny yet kind of funny in a way
I saw this ad on my local CL for a B&G and it kind of made me laugh but at the same time made me mad. I mean can you come up with a worse reason to re-home your bird???
blue and gold macaw

There must be something more to it. I mean, I understand you can't have a pet destroy a home you probably have to pay for for the next thirty years but I'd think there would be a way to work around it. I may be mistaken but there must be some other owners with a Blue and Gold who live in a house, one that might even have wood work on the trim and walls.
In the end, the bird deserves a home where it is loved and wanted. His present home no longer entirely fits that bill. Better to rehome then become an ignored prisoner. It's good they care enough to realize that.

Yeah I saw that. It was an ad for a B&G that the person needs to re-home because they just moved into a log home and he is chewing on the wood so he has to be locked up all day and it's not fair to him.
I just found it kind of funny cuz I was picturing the poor macaw thinking "Holy cow! I have hit the JACKPOT!!!" when they moved into the log home. Then it bothered me because they act like there is no other way to keep him from chewing on the walls.
