My son is a bird sniffer!!!

LOL

i forgot to tell yall about it...so funny

when we were at cage world he was hanging out with this blue headed pionus (she was FRICKIN adorable!i totally want one now)
anyhow - he sniffed her and said HMM she smells different than boogie and wasabi - she smells kind of like the amazons....but different

LMAO

and today he bought these peach rings to eat and when he opened them he said WHOAH thats strong...and he took a big whiff
then he said this smells like that bird that liked me so much

hes a SNIFFER!

on another note, at cage world he saw a lorikeet in a cage and he said HEY thats one of those birds with a weird tongue

i was speechless. he actually listens to me when i talk to him about birds!!
the lady who worked there seemed pretty impressed too...she asked him how old he was right after he said that hehehe

he is absorbing my crazy bird lady-ness

Me too, I'm a sniffer! I just wrote in one of my posts that the Ekkie I am going to get smells really great!

I love smelling them! But not when they are wet after a bath....because no matter how clean a bird can be...I personally don't think they smell all that great when wet!

My BF thinks I'm insane, lol. I was on the phone with him today and Bugsy was on my chest and I sniffed him...BF heard me and asked what the "heck" I was doing and I told him sniffing my bird! He just doesn't get the bird thing!

That reminds me of when I first got Sophie. My cousin was 4 at the time and he came over and wanted to see the birds. Since Sophie was the only nice bird I had at the time I took her out and without even thinking I sniffed her. When I sat down with her so he could pet her he leaned over and gave her a big SNIFF, looked at me and my Grandma and said "Ooooo, she smells good!" It was soooo funny, lol. Now when he comes over he always wants the "bird that smells so good" and the first thing he does is sniff her.

I have to agree, wet bird does not smell good! They smell like wet dogs. When I give everyone baths I have to leave the room until they are dry cuz they STINK!

The best thing in the world is when Wawa lets me sniff under his wings... I'm a bird sniffer as well!

I LOVE the smell of my pionus. There's a possibility that she will grow up thinking her name is Hi-Mika-girl-you-smell-good!

I have a horrible sense of smell but I too was taken in by the scent of a Blue Headed Pionous. It almost smelled like baby powder. If Dave and Bing have a scent it sure is lost on me.

Do you realize if I made a statement like this to anyone else, other than 'bird people', they would have me committed? They already think I'm nuts because I have two parrots!

I can't say that I'm a "sniffer" but I do know that my amazon smells ALOT different than my Tiel and Sun.....
However, my Tiel does have a very sweet smell to him that I would recognize anywhere.... i guess in some sense I am a sniffer :)

Hi, I'm Patrick and I'm a bird sniffer.... lmao
