In my case, I had read and researched and decided that I wanted to get either a male Eclectus or a CAG. I visited a local shop that had some of each. But...the owner showed me this baby Hahn's. I didn't interact with it on my first visit, but did on subsequent visits. On my third visit, this baby literally jumped out of the cage onto my arm, and stayed with me for about an hour, stepping up nicely, spending time on my shoulder, letting me scritch it, and just being a little doll. It didn't want to leave and get back in the cage. Each visit has gotten better and better. It's evident this little bird has chosen me, and I've made the decision to adopt this sweet, intelligent, talkative and extremely adorable little Hahn's. It's coming home after Christmas.

I had a Hahn's ask me "Whatcha doin?" and give me kisses at the store like 10 days ago. I wanted it sooo bad- I was trying to leave with the bird's xmas present( one of those rolling tree stands) and it didn't want me to! I wanted to take it home but have been told by the BF to keep the MBS under control until we get a house (then there's no stopping me! heh heh heh).

I know... a part of me is sad that we didn't get the hahns, he was really cute.... but this one just stole our hearts...

I'm already wanting another bird too....they are so addiciting, but we can't get any more until we have a bigger home lol
