Awhile ago Donna & I had to go to Nevada for a family wedding and because it was family, all of our fidsitters were going too. So we had to board Sydney for a few days.

He went to our AV's facility..the boarding is located in a seperate building from the AV practice. The fids are in a room that is so clean that it would make any hospital proud.

Once you turn your fid over for boarding that's the last one on one contact you have until you pick him up. The public is not allowed in the boarding rooms. There are a number of cameras though and you can watch on the monitor in the front.

Anyway, the lady (another Donna) took Sydney from us and into the back. We watched and listened as she took him out of his carrier to weight him etc. She was talking to him..telling him how beautiful he was..and that he was going to enjoy his stay..Sydney started singing back! She checked him all out (he'd just had his annual check up a few weeks before and his booster shot that AM) and put him in his "room". No fits or biting.

When done she came back out she told us what a great bird he was.."real alpha male..great color..perfect symmetry..beautiful long tail..and a super personality."

I told her "right, you say that to all the parronts." She said "no, Sydney is one of the most beautiful tiels that I've seen."

Sure made us feel good!!

No excuse needed. It is only natural out here for people to brag about their birds. We wouldn't expect any less. He does sound great. I don't think the AV was just being polite. We really do need to see pictures.
