jolly ball

i got the jolly ball in...and man ITS HEAVY
im gonna have to put a better anchor in the ceiling before i hang it

in other news - apparently the person who i ordered it and a few bird toy parts from is a smoker

i really hate getting brand new stuff in the mail only to open it and catch a big whiff of stale cigarette smoke. it takes away that OOOH IT'S NEW smell

my mom makes quilts and SWEARS that she doesnt smoke near them
i try to explain to her that to someone who doesnt smoke the smell is always pretty obvious

i would not be happy if i paid a few hundred for a nice quilt and when i finally get it home it smelled like an ashtray

Jolly balls are cool....Hadn't thought of using one for the birds tho! My stallion LOVES his jolly ball and will pick it up and throw it around then run up to it and rear up at it like it was a mountain lion that he's trying to fend off...he's such a goof! LOL!
I know they make the smaller jolly balls for dogs, is that what you got?

Actually... the JollyBalls are a dog toy. They melt holes in them to hang all the goodies. That MAY be what you are smelling. I never ordered one so cannot say. I am going to make my own.

Yep... but I can drill holes for a $20 difference!

I do like the 14" one though. Don't think I have seen them that big on regular market.

I like THIS one! No hiding... or nesting behaviors (with any luck) since it is translucent!:
