Talking Hmmm, I think they like it! (pics)

I have no idea what has gotten into my birds but they decided that their mash is the best thing in the world to eat! They have always eaten some of it but all of a sudden they started eating every last crumb. I haven't done anything different to it so who knows This is breakfast at my house!
I love messy beaks

Monty enjoying his but not liking the camera

Chloe and Moe diggin in while Dino waits for back-up

Back-up has arrived!! Notice how Bugsy chases mom and dad away while the other 2 eat

MMM mom, this is good!

Sophie enjoying her's but doesn't like to be bothered while eating

Can't forget the keets! Notice how Marley is patiently waiting his turn (only cuz Sabrina is mean though)

Still eating! Apparently hanging on the side of the cage is the best way to dine

Now you might be wondering why I don't put another dish in the cage...I do but we all know it tastes better when it's someone elses

I love your pictures. The messy beaks are adorable. How do you make the mash? My cockatiel won't eat anything but seeds and pellets.

I buy a bag of 16 bean soup mix from Cub and cook it according to the directions (without the ham seasoning packet). When it still has about 1/2 hour to cook I add 2 cups brown rice and let that cook. Then I add a bag of frozen mixed veggies and that's it! I make some cous cous right before I feed them and mix that in and add whatever else I have laying around. Today they got squash mixed in and it was even better! I put it through the food processor to chop it up a little and then freeze it in ice cube trays for smaller servings. One batch lasts me a couple months and I feed it every day.
When I first started it I had to mix seed into it to get them to try it but now they will eat this over seed any day!

Wow! It looks like quite a big hit at your house! I'm going to try to make some of that...I know Jingles will eat it, and maybe Smokey Joe will decide to be crazy and try something new too! Who knows?!
Thanks for sharing those cute pics!

It's funny cuz they eat it the same way every day. Chloe and Moe start with a few bites, the babies chase them away and then they eat til they are full and everyone gets the leftovers. Zeke and Cassie love it just as much but I didn't get pics of them.
Monty likes his but he picks out the veggies and throws them on the floor..he likes his veggies fresh, lol.
I was suprised to get that pic of the keets. Usually Sabrina eats and then starts throwing it on the floor and watches Marley run around and eat it. She is such a BRAT!
