there have been very few times in my life where i took a step back and said to myself "i am so lucky"

today was one of those times

all my birds are so awesome and they all show affection to me every day
i am so thankful for each of them
considering how i found each one, i could have easily not found them - if that makes any sense

even when chickie baby is a little turd she is still awesome

it will take 2 weeks to get here! i hate waiting...patience is not a virtue i posses

the only thing i wish was different is i wish the birds, or just one of them, liked josh
but i think that will change as josh gets older and understands the birds better

until then i will hog them all for myself MUAHAHAAA

I feel that way every day. My favorite time is when everyone is in bed and I hear all 11 beaks grinding. It makes me happy that they feel safe and content...then I want to wake them up and snuggle, lol.

most days im like AWWWW bedtime ALREADY?

the only time i can remember feeling like that is when josh was a baby
i wanted to be with him all the time and at first i hated it when he would sleep
of course i grew to appreciate the time i had to myself when he was asleep

I def. felt like that on Monday- I was laying in bed watching tv and the fids were running around on the bed. Skittles decided to come cuddle with me.....I scritched his head and he gently pushed my finger under his wing w/ his beak and then to his belly and ended up rolling over and falling asleep while I scratched his wittle belly.
It was the cutest thing!

Oh, there are plenty of days when I can't wait for bedtime! (Today being one of them) When Dino and Bugsy get on a singing kick it goes on and on all day long, then Moe will join in and I can't wait for a little quiet!!! Of course then Bugsy will start talking to me a couple hours after they are in bed and make kissey noises which makes up for it. I swear he thinks I leave at night and needs to make sure I'm still here, lol.

Serious?? When they grind their beaks they are content? Here i was thinking i had the most frustrated birds in the world! Boy am i bird ignorant. Live to learn another day.
