It usually starts November-ish. Do you want your birds to breed? If not, you should keep them in seperate cages unless you plan on having them out all the time and in the cages just to sleep in. You will have to make sure they don't bond too much to each other.
It is nice when you allow them to have their own space so they don't begin to depend on the other bird for love and affection etc. However, just stating a few of my opinions because I don't know what your plans are for your babies! |

Depends on the species. Name a species and I'll give you a time frame! lol If it's a Sun? They breed year round - no established season save for less during the late summer. Gold Cap? Same, Jenday, usually the same but Forshaw indicated March-April; though I'm disinclined to agree for California climate. Most other Aratinga's and Pyrrhuras begin about Dec-Jan in Nor Cal.
