I don't know, Plus you can never bank on them getting along. Also what about the other bird? Usually when a new bird comes to your house there is a quarintine time!
I honestly don't know what to advise. I can see both sides.

Nope, nope nope....rather safe then sorry.
If your bird is sick, they can get the other bird sick and vice versa. If one is a carrier and does not appear sick, it can still get your bird sick and vice versa. Play dates are not a good idea..
