so its when he is breathing? if so, nope, not normal.
is there tail bobbing or any distress, as in open beak breathing?

boogie can make these snapping noises with her beak and you cant see her beak move
i thought i was going crazy the first few times i heard it but it is definitely her beak

it sounds just like really loud rice krispies
she does it when she is happy...and when she is falling asleep

I've had quite a lot of noise scares with Trinkets, too - but most of them are his versions of mimicking things. If he looks distressed or with tail-bobbing and with his breathing, I'd be concerned, but it's probably just a contented "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah it's morning" type noise.
