Need help deciding!

Okay guys - I have decided to get another bird and just cannot decide on what which to get. I really hate having to make decision because I can never make up my mind.

I currently have a wonderful green cheek and my decision is between another green cheek or a Tiel. I just adore green cheeks, yet I love cockatiels also. I grew up with cockatiels and my mom still has our cockatiel that I grew up with. We rescued him!!!

I just cannot decide between the two of them - I know all about them and there differences as I used to raise cockatiels and have had green cheeks for a while now. I just cannot decide between the two of them.

If this was your decision what would you all decide?

I vote... another GCC!
But it is really whatever bird fits better with your lifestyle.
I think that getting another GCC would be good because then your current GCC may become friends with him... it just makes out of cage play a lot easier when all your birds are the same size!

I agree with above post. It depends on if you have enough time for another bird. If you choose a cockatiel be careful as your gcc may not like him/her and 'bully' him/her. But it depends on your time and effort and if you can afford to get another bird.

If it were me I would get the GCC but that's just cuz I have a gazillion tiels already. That being said, I think you should go with the tiel cuz ya gotta love 'em!

I am leaning more towards another GCC mainly because I already have one and it would be more likely that they will become friends. However, I love both species - they are both great little birds. One minute I am all for the cockatiel and then the next I decide to go with the GCC and then seconds later another switch. Did I mention that I hate making decision and am the worse at it???

I would get both lol.
Getting same species dosen't gaurentee they'll get along tho.

Saying that my redump, female budgie and teil were all out this morning whilst I was cleaning cages. (male budgie has to stay in as only has 1 lot of wing feathers atm and tries to fly but hurts himself)

Anyway my redrump tried to feed my female budgie :s

I'm a tiel lover so would always recommend them. However, I have no idea about if they'd get along but you couldn't guarantee that with 2 of the same species anyway. Good luck and let us know what you decide, eventually!!!

I would get a tiel. You already have a GCC so getting another, while it might be nice for hte current one would only be getting another one of the same kind for you. A tiel will have a different feel altogether andplay with toys differently etc. Unless another GCC fell into your lap for unexpected reasons I would get a different bird.
