the second pic (from monica) is crazy!
I love the dark blue!

I love pi's you think that they are simple looking, but once they get in the light or you look closer, they have some of the most complex color patterns!

I didn't breed him as I don't currently have a BW pair. I got him from a good friend when he was still in the egg and her hen stopped sitting. She does the whole 'natural incubation' thing, so if her hens stop sitting, she won't incubate and lets nature decide. So, I asked to finish off the incubating of the clutch, since they were going to die anyway. Thankfully, all 4 survived a night of abandonment by then hen and a big cooling, and developed just fine thereafter in my petersime. I gave her back the three hens, I kept the cock as payment lol.

Thats cool.
But I don't get why your friend wouldn't artificially incubate the babies.
WHatever... to each his own I guess.

haha I am stupid, it even says your looking for a BW pair on your website! Is he gonna be a breeder or a pet?
Also are all the species (on your birds available page) that have a star next to them pairs that you need?

He really is a gorgeous though!

Nope, the asterisk just means I won't have any babies in this coming season because of various reasons, one of the reasons being I don't have the pairs yet, like BW Pi's lol. And, some breeders won't incubate. They let nature decide and if the hen doesn't hatch the eggs, they don't step in and do it. This particular lady won't even hand-feed until they're 4 weeks old. If a hen abandons the babies before that, then they die. So, if she has a hen that tosses her eggs out or stops sitting, she'll usually call me and ask if I want to save the clutch. I always do, but most of the time, the eggs are clear when a hen does this. This time, the clutch was fertile.

As for keeping him? Hmm.. not sure yet. I might offer him for sale and just wait for an adult pair to turn up. I'm still debating!
