Halo... at a bird fair.
Am I the only one seeing a recipe for disaster here? LOL

Halo is leaving her purse, checkbook, and ATM card at home. I am only taking a very small amount of money which could not possibly get me into trouble.I've never been to one before and it's being put on by the bird club in Denver which we'd like more information on as well. Plus, there's a bunch of fids I haven't seen in person yet that I hope to meet. About the only thing that would really tempt me would be if I found a cherry head or mitred there since I can't find them anywhere Of course, I did put out a carrier by the door just in case I really don't plan on bringing anything home with me.

I wasn't gonna say anything! Though, at first I thought her hubby would steer her away from them, now I think hubby's just as guilty! hehehe

Oh hubby is WAY worse than I am. Especially now that Arapahoe and Caliente showed up. Heck he goes in and gives them attention before I even get a "hi honey I'm home!". And I have to watch how I say "oh honey look he's so cute" because if he thinks I want something, it's all over. Yes, I'm terribly spoiled! I can honestly say that since I've decided on a Hanh's there is nothing out there I really want. I'm not bringing home a hanh's tomorrow for sure. There, at least I knocked out one species! ![]() I'm going to enjoy saying "I told you so!" tomorrow when I come home empty handed (with fids at least LOL). |

Out of all the birds i've met or had, if I had no birds based on my experience with them now I would say that u2's would have been my dreambird and the bird I would have to have. I haven't had any bad expereinces with any of the ones i've met, in fact I always adore them and gravitate to them first. I adore all cockatoos but because I have an umbrella I have a soft spot for them in particular. The first bird I ever met was a greenwing and now years and years later i've come full circle and will be bringing one home based on him. For years greenwings have been my dream bird but over the years after learning all that I have and meeting as many birds as I have - cockatoos are hands down my favorite. I love them.

It was the eyes that got me, when I first saw my U2 Sugar. Then she stepped up and I was a goner...She gets going about once a day but its not really to bad. Her and my Quaker Alphie get going and they have us all laughing. She has potty trained herself, if she has to go potty and you have her she will go back to her cage on go then come back.
