If we're gonna discuss other too's, i prefer goffins to u2's (no offense to bebe or any other lovely u2 on bb). I also love the look of the ducorp's although i have not had the privledge of meeting one yet.
make me one!!!!!

OH and no one's mentioning any of the sulpher crested.. they are amazing... we don't get umbrella's or M2's or anything like that here..

i think a sulpher crested too should be everyone's dream bird :)

I think U2s should be everyone's dream bird because they are sweet, immediately trusting, they love to snuggle, I haven't been bitten (yet), they aren't really that loud, I don't know why everyone thinks they are, but it is funny once he gets going, like when we put him back in his cage, he gets the head feathers up, all fluffed out, flapping and screaming. Sometimes. It's a riot!!! GO U2s!

Kali, I'll put you on the list after Huntress, Geek, and Meredith.

I got to meet a lot of different too's yesterday... and I fell in love with two citrons. So adorable, so tiny, so very very sweet, and both of them were male/female friendly. The one that we held and played with... the lady who had her said that she prefered men so she handed her to me first, then took her off me because she went to my shoulder The kids held her and she was fine, then my hubby got her and she started dancing and talking and trying to climb down his shirt. When that didn't work, she came to me and tried to woo me into letting her down my shirt She was a sweetheart.

I also got to meet a Mollucan who was a sweetie. Ohhhhhhhhh and Ducorps are just gorgeous in person! My husband say her and asked me why that Goffins didn't have pink on it

I have to agree with Kali, I like the tempermant of the Lesser Sulphers better, I may even consider a Triton, but a U2, I dont know I have a couple of friends who have them... what a handful they can be.

I haven't met any of the GSC's or LSC's but I don't see how any too can be sweeter than a citron She was even sweeter than my Goffins!

Maybe I just caught her on a good day

I have achieved my dream and have a U2 and wouldn't change it for the world. I would like a Macaw though also and maybe an African Grey.

Macaws and greys are awesome birds... but sooooo much different than U2's.

I'm with you Geek, I would take in another if it came along but I would not go out and look for a U2. Hubby wants a citron now tho! I told him it's his own fault. I found a baby several months ago and we were gonna put a deposit down and he decided not too... now he meets one and falls in love

I think everyone should have a macaw. They smell soooo fruity and delicious and I just sit in the room with Arapahoe and Caliente sniffing them It's even better than dusty too smell!

Hey Cindy..I'm sure you already know this but..make sure and have a very good air filter running..macaws are very sensitive to CAG and Too dust and they can even get a fatal illness from breathing in all that dust. Just an FYI in the off chance you overlooked that. Congrats on the GW!!!

I adore all cockatoos but because I have an umbrella I have a soft spot for them in particular. The first bird I ever met was a greenwing and now years and years later i've come full circle and will be bringing one home based on him. For years greenwings have been my dream bird but over the years after learning all that I have and meeting as many birds as I have - cockatoos are hands down my favorite. I love them.
