You know, any good tattoo artist will take a picture you give them and use that. My tat is of a pegasus I drew. It's on my ankle, and it was a little more difficult to get all the detail b/c I didn't want it too big, but it came out fantastic! It still looks pretty good and that was done about 16 years ago.
Kevin I think you should get one that looks like the conures on Robyn's siggie! Now that says "I'm manly, and I could bite your face off if I wanted to" all at the same time!!  LOL! Just Kidding!!

I think I'll have to go for an ankle for my next tattoo as I've used both shoulders and a wrist! Is it much more painful on the ankle being on the bone?
Everyone told me having my wrist done would hurt but I can honestly say it didn't!

I have seen some beautiful parrot tattoos on the walls of tattoo parlors. They're not all girly and as someone said, you can always design it yourself. I designed mine but forgot some details so I have to get it touched up. I don't have a parrot tat yet, but I have a bird which is close enough, eh? :) It's a Raven.
 Pippy, ankle sounds very painful ... plus it's close to the foot which is meant to be THE most painful. So goodluck with that ;) My next one will be a lorikeet, but I don't know where yet. I might wait till I've finished school... as a reward haha

This isn't my tattoo, I just found the picture online. It's not what the original poster had in mind but I just thought I'd post it...it's so pretty! I am not a tattoo girl myself but thought this was cool.
