Mitreds mating... LOL... that could be rather loud.

Quite honestly though... Duddley is my quietest bird! The GCC yells more often (not nearly as loud though) and the BCC is just insanely trying to kill me. It would not be so bad if Tink were some sort of sweet and wonderful bird with many redeeming qualities... but she is scared to death of humans. Tink WILL now allow my hand IN the cage without freaking out and plastering herself to the back bars and "crying". I have a feeling she was NEVER handled by humans. I really do need to find her a very special home. <sigh>

Robyn, they actually aren't that loud, but it more of a high pitch squeaking noise..sort of like a bat and a lot of thumping on the box

I have little background on Tink and Dudley. Tink very well may have been a breeder.

Being a BCC, he is not "mean" per say (only ever met one truly aggressive BCC in my life)... just not able to be handled nor does she enjoy human companionship and interaction if given any choice what-so-ever.

Tink flew to me a week or two ago... well, to the couch next to me. She even let me use one finger to stroke her head. That was enough, off she went again. LOL

She also is none too fond of Rexy (GCC) who tries so hard to befriend her... and her and Dudley try to kill each other. LOL

Tink is just anti-social. LOL

Robyn, I think we ought switch Charlie and Dudders for a week! It'd be nice to have a quiet mitred for a change!

Heck, I don't even get him! Charlie is *SO* eager to get to bed! He wing flutters and leans in the direction of his 'sleep' cage... moment he gets in, it's full out SQUAWKING at the top of his lungs, in a room with no carpet or ways to 'soften' the noise! At that point, it's a mad dash out the door! But I always love it when he makes circus noises when it's dark! It's so cute! If only he'd do those more often and the screaming less!

Lately though, instead of "Hi Char-Lie!" it's now "Hi-ch" and maybe at best, it's "Hi char-"... little dork!

If I were to get a macaw, it'd be a red front! Fell in love with the scarlets! Found out they are nippy... no thanks! GW's are lovely, but a little too big, perhaps? Not particularly interested in the mini macaws or the B&G's either.... but then maybe having a red front dancing for me had somethin to do with it??? Was in the local parrot store, and a red front (most likely a boarder) was out on one of the stands. I walked up close, and he got all excited he just *HAD* to get to me (short of jumping/flying to me!). So I allow him to step up onto my arm, then he proceeded to show off how handsome he was by dancin for me!!! Someone mentioned it looked like he was going home with me!!! Too bad! It wasn't exactly easy to get him off me, so it would have been easy to take him home!

I've already decided I want a third conure! Probably a mitred, but I'd go for a cherry head, white eyed (or similar), or even a blue crown. The next question is, shall I take in a second hand bird (which I'd prefer to do, as there are plenty in need of homes - and I'd rather take in a rehome than a baby any day!) or go with a just weaned baby? Guess I could count Kevin as a possible breeder! But then any baby I get will most likely end up costing me $600-$800 for just the bird.... Robyn definitely gets first pick! We'll leave it to her to pick the brattiest little rascal out of the bunch so everyone else can have the sweet babies!

Robyn would totally pick the one with the most unique personality! LOL

I love Red-Fronts. That was the macaw I had settled on and was saving up for before Jasper plopped into my life. Now, I'm stuck with the Moose. /mock sigh? lol

It must be tough being stuck with a Jasper! I looked at your gallery again. You sure have a good looking flock.
