Yes! Yes! Yes! Dino is eating veggies!

Dino has had me worried to death for a couple of days because he stopped eating the ton of food he was down loading beforehand. Up until now, he has not wanted to eat any veggies, but on my major shopping spree for him yesterday, I bought him all kinds of beans - soaked them 24 hours and cooked them for 2 and to my delight, he loves the big white ones. (Broad beans?) Told you I'm forgetting my English! I can't tell you what the other beans are by name but I just checked in on him and he has the messiest beak I've seen
BTW, since everyone here is hooked on abbreviations, does anyone else here have a GW?

PS. Is FID Friend In Deed?

I think FID is feathered kid, but dont quote me on it.

Beans and rice are always a big hit here to, the veggies not so much lol. I have no problem getting fruit down Dewey though.

That's great! My cockatiel still won't eat veggies even after 15 years! The rest of them are chowhounds!

Ummm Yep you are correct....
However, your annoyances aside, the point here was I'm trying to HELP someone learn the abbreviation we use....
Adding parakeets to just about everything I listed only increases the confusion.

I was NOT using the name for accuracy, but that it's the common name most people in North America use for those little feathered wonders.

BTW, it's "peeves"....
