Mister Nibbles and His Little Saucer (Pic)

This is Mister Nibbles and his little saucer on top of his cage. In reality, he does not look that iridescent, actually.

Still do not know enough about budgies to know if he is a boy or a girl. Any thoughts?

Mister Nibbles likes to have that saucer constantly refreshed (lets you know by giving you the Blackberry Textmessage Notification Noise), he drinks from the saucer with gusto (prefers porcelain to his dishes in his cage). He also walks in that dish, and when he gets inspired during his showers with the spray bottle, waddles in the little dish while fluttering his wings and doing his "shower dance."

Can't give any ideas on the sex, but "he" is surely adorable. Nice coloration.

He is beautiful. He sort of looks like a little yellow canary. I've never seen a 'keet like that. Thanks for the picture.

I thought the area across, where the nares are, are colored different when male or female. Pink for female blue for male. Honestly I can't remember where I heard that.

Thank you, he is very pretty and thank you for saying so.

The picture makes him look more iridescent than he is, in real life he has a lemony yellower cast, although he is pretty light (light yellow, whitish) and has a few errant blue patches under his wings. I got him very a very good specialty shop in New York City. The usual markings (black lines you usually see on budgies) are sort of subtly but only partially there, almost in grey and not entirely present.

Find a post from Monica and look in her signature.
She has a bunch of great links to other threads including one about sexing budgies!
