Horrible picture on German website

The other day , while I was waiting for election results, I was surfing the net and came across the most disturbing thing on a german website (www.stern.de)
I just happend to see the word parrot and of course it got my attention. Thank God there was only a very small picture but it was enough to upset me the rest of the day.
It was a picture , taken somewhere in Australia, of a giant snake with a cockatoo halfway in its mouth. I know it's only Nature but it was so unexpected that it made me sick. Why would they put a picture like that on their website!
I just had to get this off my chest!!!!!

I saw that somewhere too? Seems to me the person who took the photos was the birds owner.

The back gardens of Queensland are a jungle

Times Online

div#related-article-links p a, div#related-article-links p a:visited {color:#06c;}For a python in search of a meal, a juicy bird relaxing in a Queensland back garden presented too good-an opportunity to miss.
The snake found itself the luckless sulphur-crested cockatoo (pictured) in Clifton Beach, Cairns, and coiled itself tightly around the bird high in the tree’s branches.
Cindy Lane, an artist and owner of the parrot, was painting in her studio when she heard a couple of loud squawks from a bougainvillea tree in her yard. She found the parrot in mid-feed.
"I considered jumping in to save him, but his last breath was literally being squeezed from him as we approached," she told The Cairns Post.
The python took about two hours to complete his meal. "It was difficult to watch but at the same time mesmerising," Ms Lane said.

I used to live in Queensland (the state that photo was taken). This is pretty commonplace for arboreal snakes. I don't think it's horrible but I know how it feels when something like that takes you by surprise. Sorry you had to see it :( Don't worry, the bird would have gone into shock and wouldn't feel a thing.

I think I would have had to jump in regardless. Snake would have been dead.
