LOL I am impressed that you didnt end up getting any birds, good for you!!! I cant wait to go next weekend to the one by me though its about an hour away all well not as bad as three hehe.

Oh it was a nice drive. I don't mind doing it because at least we get to see the city this way! My husband wanted to go back up there tonight when he gets off work but thankfully, it will be long closed by then. He was really disappointed that I wouldn't let him get me a parrotlet and he's convinced that I really wanted one but just didn't get one. Oh and he wants to visit that citron again before she goes back to Nebraska

There were a lot of great toys there though! My husband wants to make manzanita stands to take to the next one. We saw a stand there that was half the size of our manzanita stand made by the same company for $500

And I have seriously never seen so many darn canaries as I did yesterday!!!!!

Your will power is SO much better than mine.
Serveral years ago I went to a bird fair to pick up 1 bird and ended up with 4.

I don't think it was so much self control, just that there were no birds there that I saw that I felt I couldn't live without. It was bound to happen eventually

I think the reason I've taken in all the birds I have is because I was able to improve their situations. While some of these birds were rescues, they were already in decent situations so I didn't feel the need to help them. As for the babies, I just didn't meet the right one.

Having 12 birds makes it easier to pick and choose I guess
