Roasted, baked, broiled, stewed... Pionus

Recipes, please?

Cos this lil Pi is goin' in the pot soon! lol The little bugger has decided that flying is far too much work, fledging is not necessary, but scaling cages, walls, pencils.... anything to get on the floor to WALK is far easier.

Devil.

Why must I always get the difficult ones? lol

He's actually very 'bold'. He acts very 'Amazonish', so typical Pi 'tude, but yah, he's just not as trusting as I'd normally like. He feints at hands, doesn't bite though, but so far dislikes touching and handling.

Mind, he was raised day 1 with touching and handling! So, this is 100% 'him'. I think he'd blossom for someone that really wanted to put the time into him alone, but I also think that when he gives himself, he's going to be very into his person and not really inclined towards sharing. He obviously likes being -around- people though, he keeps seeking people out. I dunno, he's a boggling one!

At this point, I might just wean him out and keep him as a breeder unless someone comes along that wants a 'well worth the effort' challenge to bring this baby out more. I haven't decided yet. He is a stunning baby.

I am sure that I will get blasted, but...

If his coloring really is above par... I would keep him as a breeder. You would not have to worry that someone is going to tire of him. And you SHOULD pick breeders for qualities you wish to promote... like color!
