Beautiful bird on CL.

*****Yellow Headed black Bird With Cage****

I love yellow heads. Are they even legal as pets?
He is adorable though :)

Poor bird!!! He's so unhealthy! Prob having liver/kidney problems. He ought to look like this bird...

I've seen wild ones, and they are very beautiful! I don't really know if they are illegal or not, but there's a chance they are.... Best one can do is contact the local Fish & Wildlife and ask them. The humane society or animal control would most likely euthanize the bird, and the F&W might not be able to do much since this bird has obviously been within captivity for several years.

I saw wild red crested cardinals living in Maui, HI... and not long after visiting Hawaii, I saw two for sale in a petstore...

It's sad how many birds they kill hawaii :(

I'll call F&G tomorrow and see what is up.

(The bird looks terrible, It's sad, but even looking this bad he is still gorgeous!)
