Many people are against Ken Clobus because of his way of handling birds to tame them, which is straight up. Reminds me of Nancy, in a little fashion... The birds that she occasionally boards let Nancy handle them within a day. I take it though that some just need to see things straight for them to live a happier more fulfilling life, and it wont be that way if they keep hating their owner(s).
If he does join, I'd be honored, to say the least.

Hi All
I was invited to visit by Kensbuns. so I decided to stop in and say hello. It seems that where ever I go I stir up controversy. There's bound to be controversy when someone is doing things in a way other than what is popularly accepted. My approach is completely different. I work with birds that have never been handled and get dramatic results in minutes. It's so hard to believe that when someone posted a detailed description of one of my recent taming demonstrations, a poster accused me of perpetrating a hoax. But that would be pretty unlikely, since I have worked with more than 20 different bird clubs and organizations and always ask them to provide me with the most difficult birds they can find. I don't screen the birds ahead of time and I work in front of large audiences.
What I would urge you all to do is reserve making up your mind until you actually see for yourself. As many of the testimonials on my web site state, "If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed it." I'll be in Chicago in May, Tallahassee in June and Redondo Beach, in July. If you'd like more details of upcoming events, or just want to check me out, please visit my web site and join my email list. I send out a free newsletter with taming tips, articles and travel plans. Thanks to Barbara for the invitation. And warm greetings to all of you. Last edited by Ken; 04-16-2005 at 04:37 AM. |

We are glad you're here with us. I went to your site but couldn't get on your E-mail list because I'm having a little bit of trouble with my DSL right now.
I hope you will be able to come to Louisville KY sometime. Boy do I have a bird for you! Tonight he hopped/flew off his cage and attacked my foot! :aiwebs_01 |

Technique to change that behavior
Quote:
Nancy - I would stop that behavior ASAP. There is a technique described on my web site to push a bird away that's showing that kind of aggression. It's called "The Fist of Iron." Here's a link: http://thebirdwhisperer.com/fist_of_iron.htm Push the bird back and give it a sharp, "No!" Birds that are allowed to behave like that have a tendancy to get worse and worse. One of my fundamental beliefs is that birds are happier when you're in charge. Good luck. |

Ken:
I haven't had the pleasure of seeing you in action, but I'm always amazed how many bird owners cannot handle their birds. I have really never had that problem. As stated earlier by Monica, I have always been able to handle EVERY bird that came through here easily within 24 hours. Frankly, I give them one day to get their bearings and then the training begins. I suppose because I expect cooperation from them, I get it. I really don't know. I have always been able to easily handle just about any animal including dogs, cats, raccoons and horses without any drama. I agree with you that birds, dogs, horses and children all really seem to like to know what the rules are. I think its usually US that have the confusion there. THE OUTLAW
