blue and gold or greenwinged macaw

hi anyone

i am looking for advice on what macaw to get i have a African Grey at the moment called scampi .
i have two children age 4 and 5 would it make a difference for them any advice would be appreciated. is there always a master to the macaws or will they take to anyone.
i have been thinking about a macaw for a long time but never thought the time would come having a new baby about the house.

If you are to get a macaw you should also look into a HEPA filture or similar... one that DOES NOT ionize the air, but helps keep it clean. I've heard of stories that macaws can be very sensitive to grey/too/tiel dust.

If you are looking for a family pet I'd suggest either a GW or a Red Front, however I have no personal experience caring for macaws, so I'm basing my judgements on the information that I've read through the years...
