It'll be a couple of days before his neck is strong enough. Right now he has a very big pipping muscle on the back of his neck and it starts to recede after hatching. Once that disappears, his neck will be a bit thicker and stronger and he can lift his head. Greys have hugenormous heads compared to other chicks (least the ones I've handled). They're a bit out of proportion when you compare them side by side with other species.
I think this one is a boy! Annnd.. I'm off to nap right now, in fact! Woo sleep! lol Must rest up, in 2 weeks, I have 7 Hahn's a'hatchin'!
