Yeah for me & Tic Tac!

Most of you know that Tic Tac has only let the hubby pet & scritch her etc. Well hubby has been pestering me to keep trying it with her, I myself had just not pushed it & was happy with our relationship as is. Well the past few days I finally grew some nuggets & tried it again.....And by golly she has let me pet her & scritch her neck & she was relaxed. First she started cuddling up with my hand & napping & now i can pet her! this may sound silly, but Its a very nice bonus for me!

It's not silly at all! I was so happy when Diddle opened up to me after he refused to do so for his former owners... and his home right before mine was birdie heaven, let me tell you! I get excited any time one of the birds does something new and we make progress. Tuck Tuck has now decided that my hubby isn't so bad and will let him pick him up and give him ni ni lovins. Of course, this is a major bonus for me because it's one less bird that he has to refer to as "my bird". Of course, he has Minga who is his and his alone and Rudy is like that too when he even feels like being handled. The only one he definitely cannot handle is Diddle. He just refuses to let him. He did for a little while and then he changed his mind again. It upsets hubby but he deals with it nicely. Lilly of course thinks he hung the moon so that evens it up.

She has just turned out to be such a sweet bird, she is even getting cuddly with the kiddo's now! The only bad thing is she has no fear of the dog or the cat!

LOL My birds bite the dogs if they get to close to their cages but I have a disabled dog and a really old dog so they don't bother the birdies. I'm pretty sure after they are gone, we won't have any more dogs except for farm dogs outside.

It's amazing how they change after they've been with you a while.

Yeah they do change! She will fly off her cage & land right in front of the cat....the cats like YUMMY & Tic Tac is like HEY whuts sup! When my overley excited boxer comes up she bites her drooping lips (tee hee) & the dog gets all riled up! Friggin Circus

OMG Mr. tries and bites my boxers droopy lips LOL, and of course the dog gets excited. LOL hes a weird dog when other animals tell him to get away he thinks they are saying lets play!

LMAO, Yeah I know, a strange dog could be growling & showing their teeth, & the boxers see & hear "Hey do ya wanna PLAY" they just don't get it! lol

Sammy still thinks that the birds are some of her play toys(she's still a puppy) and today she went to bite Skittles and he let out this AWFUL, loud, scream and she took off the other way! Too FUNNY!

I am working with her, though, on being calm around the birds or she has to go in her crate. She's usually ok but today she's been UBER hyper and I think thats why she did it
