i do think it is weird and creepy but i like weird and creepy so i can totally see doing that
though i like this kind of weird and creepy the best: Fantasy Work-Gaffs
thats awesome that you posted that link ashling, thats one of my favorite weird sites

i wouldnt have any furred animals stuffed...but i could see how stuffing a bird wouldnt be as disturbing...though i couldnt see doing it to my birds

i would like to have a house full of weird old stuffed things
just not my loved ones lol

i think that life gen stuff is really neat
it would be cool to have a diamond that is made up from the carbon of a very close loved one who passed

I dont think its weird with the ashes in the Diamond, I am thinking about having it done with my grandmothers ashes. Anyway I wouldnt want my birds stuff, not into it, I would feel like I shot it out on a hunting trip. But that my opinion on stuffed animals. I would cremate them though so they could move with me

im definitely want to be cremated when i die...i do not like the idea of laying in the cold ground forever, rotting away
plus the whole embalming process, EW

i hope i dont even need an autopsy when i die, just burn me up and do whatever you want with the ashes

Once dead, I don't think there's anything still attached to the flesh that makes the person or pet what it was. At that point, in my opinion, it's just a bunch of meat. So, I don't cremate and keep ashes, and I don't bury and visit gravesites.

Ashes to diamonds: The new way to remember loved ones? - Features
not put IN a diamond but MADE INTO a diamond. They take the ash and super heat compression and actually create a real diamond out of the ash. It is an endearing way to remember someone forever and I cannot wait to have it done one day. My sister did it with her husband and now she feels like he is holding her hand forever. He used to give her a diamond every year for her birthday. What a great treasure it is for her now that her soul mate is gone.

Not my cup of tea, but I don't think it's creepy at all. Ashling, that site is awesome!

>.> I wants me one of her 'Gryphons' - Awesome work.

And Huntress, that sounds absolutely awesome. How much ash does it take to compress into a diamond like that? Seems like it would be a lot!

I'm with you Geek.... I don't like the thought of rotting in the ground either. I realize that I won't KNOW it's happening then but I can think about it now

And I hate to burst your bubble but 99% of the time, they take all the organs and stuff out of you even if you are cremated. I did a lot of reading about the burial process when my Grandfather died because I had always heard horror stories about them taking the eyes out, sowing the mouth shut, and all of that. What I read made me sick!

Correct huntress. I misunderstood until after I read the article. Either way, it's not my personal cup of tea.
