I want my dog stuffed when she passes... so she can still be curled up on the couch every day when I come home from work!

My friends mom wants to stuff their dog when he dies and put him on wheels so she can still take him on walks...

It all sounds creepy to me!

oh ok well i never heard of it. i don;t think it is SUPER creepy, i see the reasoning of wanting to have it/them there 'forever' etc...it just seemed a bit odd to me. thanks all for clearing that up

oh i did have a pet fish, it was a minnow i cought in the creek when i was seven, well anyways it grew up to be a 7inch green sunfish, i had 'sergeant' for 8 years(!!!) and when he died i had him mounted. he was my biggest catch haha

How about when people die? Some people take bits of carbon from their ashes and have them placed in diamonds and worn as a piece of jewelry. Talk about creepy This can be done with their pets too. It's called cremation jewelry.

I would get Xaf stuffed... just so I could beat him without it being animal abuse.

I've been in a pet crematory (not up and running - yet) twice, and will be going again this Friday... they are finishing things up before they open... They gave us a tour (nothing fancy) and told us how they cremate the pets (which is the same way as in humans). Half of it sounded fine... the rest? UGH! NOT my cup of tea! It's creepy enough as is! And now they are making them into diamonds???? That's just... WEIRD!

And no, I wouldn't want a stuffed pet.... that's even creepier... just imagine! "Oh your lookin so purdy today! Did you preen your tail feathers??? Would you like some oatmeal today? It's YUMMY! Aren't you just a beautiful bird! Your pretty quiet today, why don't you speak up????"

And if you think *THAT'S* creepy, well people get their pets mummified, too!!!! I remember seeing this on TV some YEARS ago (I think I was in elementary school? If not probably middle school). Here's their website (which I've now found after several years!!! So easy nowadays!)
Modern Mummification for Pets & Animals
