Usually I wake up at 6am and beat the feathered ones awake. All of them get rudely awakened by the coffee grinder. And, since Izzy and Lilly's cages are in the breakfast nook thingie off the kitchen itself, I hear them first with sleepy "Good morning", "Izzy cold?" "Lilly *smacky kiss sound* Good girl!" "You want to eat that?" and "Go 'side?" Along with numerous kisses and quacking noises. All Izzy; Lilly doesn't even make a peep yet.

By then, the coffee grinder signal moves through the house and I hear "RRRAAAAAWWWWWWW ..whimper...whimper RAAWWW!!!" from Jasper lol. Tigo, Cricket and Xaf are all in the kid's rooms, so they sleep in until she awakens lol. Bonn and Kiva are also in the kid's rooms (she has an adjoined 'bird/play' room) so they also sleep late and Pogo has a 10am internal alarm clock. He refuses to even open his eyes until then... Pogo's the smartest bird in the world when it comes to waking up! LOL

My guys are pretty good in the morning, or at least have become pretty good in the morning. I wake them up and lately, while fixing their breakfasts Bing will be asking me what I am doing, and going through the whole myriad of things he is trying to say these days. Dave waits patiently. I love that part of the morning. Once they have eaten the stereo of macaw screams begin. I don't love that part of the morning. It can go on for however long their happy little lungs need to be worked out. And this isn't relegated to the morning. It can happen in the afternoon too and at evening. There is a calling thing attached to it because it will happen if they hear me coming up the steps or if I walk in and out of their room too quick.

Every morning I get woken up by my new feathered alarm clock that is named Sam. She starts really quiet with tweets and whistles real low and then she starts saying 'hello', 'sam good girl', 'be good', 'good morning' which invariably leads to her imitating our guinea pigs, and then the cats meowing, then finally the imitation of the work crew that we have been hearing the past week or so now outside our house which is usually either a chinsaw or a jackhammer......

Birdlover... for the most part my house is really quiet. I hear Marti chatting on and off, Bebe can only say pretty bird so we hear that alot. Arapahoe and Cali are always carrying on a converstation with each other. Diddle is really quiet, so is Lilly and Tuck Tuck. Alfie gets loud yelling "wow" or making cat noises when he is nervous or upset but it's usually only at night when he is ready for bed and we are keeping him up. Everyone always thinks my house is loud... but to me it's really not. Then again, I'm not a big fan of quiet when I'm alone anyway I honestly think the cockatiel is the loudest thing in the house He even barks now when he hears someone in the driveway thanks to my poodle who thinks he's a freakin' pit bull.

Of course, this could all change when Maverick gets here He might be like Jasper and wake me up with his RAWRRRRRRR

Hmmm Merlins been very quiet today and won't come out of her cage.

Wonder if she can sense I'm in peed off mode? (Dog almost pulled me over on his walk when he saw a dog charing around and wrenched my back and wrist) So dogs confind to his bed and Merlins hugging top part of her rope perch.

Heck, Tick Tac Tells my kids off in the morning with the shouts when they get too loud. See I only have 2 kids, 1 bird, 1 dog & 1 Kitty, so it's not too bad in the am round here
