For Gini

Got my Birdie Bread today...

As usual, Izzy hissed at it. He won't touch new stuff until he's darn good and ready. Tigo and Pogo wouldn't touch it either yet, so I didn't take pics of their ungrateful butts.

This was as close as Lilly got to it, but she looked so damn cute, I snapped a pic anyway. Silly Greys. They'll eat it when it ceases to look 'new'.

However...

Jasper horked his down, and had a muffin as a chaser!

And the real test... The Xaf test!

Here's Cricket attacking a Veggie cone. He strikes like lightning and rolls his eyes back like a shark LOL. You wouldn't believe how fast that attack was. Well, Robyn and Monica would ... they have similar beasties lol.

Xaf took a second to eyeball it. Then Cricket intercepted the cone and started to stuff his face. That usually indicates a battle will begin and it did!

Xaf always wins though, but Cricket didn't let that stop him.

I'd say all in all, Gini's Birdie Bread is quite the hit!

Hahahahahahaha they are so cute! What kind of bird is Xaf?

Sorry, I'm completely bird-dumb (except for when it comes to my birds)

Yeah... if it is not moving on its own accord... or even if it is but is small enough to conquer... it is a good bet Dudders will go after it now! He has come SO far! And they do hit fast and hard. Makes it SO fun to change that food dish twice a day. LOL

The original best friends were Xaf and Kiva, but Xaf's far too rough for Kiva who is a disabled bird and um.. has mental difficulties. So now Kiva hangs out with the weaning babies and doesn't leave the nursery. He dotes on them and they get to role model from an adult. It's more Kiva's speed and ability.

Cricket is rough and tumble. He and Xaf are never apart now. Except we don't let Cricket fly, and we allow Xaf a couple of flight feathers. Literally - 1 on each wing. He can make pretty good hops and can do some dive bombing, but nothing crazy, which is good, Xaf's a Cereal killer in feathers (yes, the pun is accurate).

OK... I admit, messing with hubby's mind sounded fun.

Tell him it is ok for you to laugh at the computer... it is a BLESSING it does not laugh at YOU. (use THOSE words)

Wait a good minute or so and then click this: http://home.mindspring.com/~samrc/sounds/madmoo.wav
(make the speakers are turned up!)
