Dear Friends and Donors,

All of us at The Lily Sanctuary would like to wish you all a very happy holiday season and to say Thank You for your support throughout the year. Without your generous donations The Lily Sanctuary could not survive.

This year we have experienced a decrease of over 50% in fundraising revenues, both from the events we participate in and corporate donations. This has left The Lily Sanctuary in a very critical shortfall of monies to support ongoing costs and monthly expenses. It is most certainly a sign of the times as most Americans have experienced more difficult times than in recent memory.

As a result of this downturn, we once again are asking you, our friends and donors, to help us continue our efforts by making your tax-deductible donations to The Lily Sanctuary. While our financial status has been suffering for some time, it has now become critical. We chose not to ask for your help sooner until we exhausted all of our fundraising efforts for the year, but, unfortunately, after our final event of the year at the Bird Mart in Pomona this past week, our efforts have fallen dramatically short.

The Lily Sanctuary provides the very best of care, both physically and emotionally, for the many birds that pass through here each year, as well as the birds that have been rescued and are not immediately, or permanently, able to be adopted out. For those of you who have visited us, you have seen the degree of care our birds receive and the exceptional efforts put in by our many dedicated volunteers. It would be an unthinkable necessity to see The Lily Sanctuary no longer able to exist and provide this service to the untold number of parrots who are in dire need of rescue and rehabilitation.
