I have a parrtolet too - and SO FAR she's a little nippy but nothing that breaks skin or hurts too badly, and this is even dying down. I would definitely get anohter, however she can be exactly like a toddler, demands attention (and food) when she wants it, and just allways wants to be with us.

If you don't consider the long tail of a GCC in the comparison, you're not far off the mark.

Here's a vid of a masked lovie and a GCC:

YouTube - Blue-Masked Lovebird & Green Cheek Conure having a snack...

Masked lovies are generally a bit smaller than a peach-faced lovebird, but not by much.

we have 2 parrotlets. One is a sweetheart and the other is let's say "not a sweetheart" (I love him though) Neither one is all that toy oriented. My kids and I would love to make toys for our birds that they actually play with. My parrotlets have tons of toys and don't do a lot with them. They're not what I would call really active. They are both older birds though, so maybe that's why.

you can hear him, barely, when chicken starts screaming in the background: Silly Dude (video)

I am a HUGE Parrotlet advocate!!!!
They are thee smallest parrot in the world.
They are like mini Zon's.
They can be a bit nippy too, but they have their loving moments.
I love parrotlets. They are thee best... well next to about 30 other species I want.

Second smallest. And while they are great birds, anyone pondering getting a parrotlet really needs to know the downsides they have -- being little and cute does not take away the full-sized parrot behaviour and mentality, and they face the same issues as bigger parrots if they aren't treated as what they are. Kind of like someone treating a Chihuahua as a "baby" rather than a dog.

I love mine, no doubt there, but she is a handful some days!

I keep small and med parrots. The "American Budgie" is probably the most playful and spirited that I own. I love my grasskeets the most of all my birds though. Can't really be beat imo. :D

I agree with that. I got mine becuase I just don't have room for a big parrot - I babysit an Amazon, and my sister's in-laws have grey's that I LOVE. They are not the same as a budgie or a cokatiel for sure!
