Kind of like someone treating a Chihuahua as a "baby" rather than a dog.

I love mine, no doubt there, but she is a handful some days!
Don't get me wrong... mine can get crazy hormonal and such (just like a zon)... hence the "they are like mini zons".
Basically they ARE a mini zon. they are close enough related and look the part too.
Oh sorry... i forgot about the little pygmies... shame on me!
I would rather have a hormonal zon than a PO'd parrotlet that's for sure!

Green cheeks were on my final list when we got around to getting a parrot, but with living in an apartment didn't want to take the chance of any noise issues. Neat little birds. I may yet have one when we move.

I got my green cheek because they were supposed to be quiet and I somehow ended up with the loudest green cheek I have ever met lol. I love him though...lucky he's cute and cuddley.

You could ask the owners how loud their GCC is. Mine is more quiet than a parakeet! I saw his ad on Craigslist, and asked the owner how often he screeched, if he was noisy in the morning, etc etc.
