i wouldnt take amoxicillin for them
you can cause a lot more problems down the road

theyll go away and if youre anything like me, youll get used to the irritant and after a while your body wont react as strongly

LOL! Yep, turnin the flash off is a royal pain when ya need to take a pic..
Ya need 50 lights or be able to go into suspended animation to stop the blurring....
Of course that cam ain't helping ya none when it's focusing on the cubboards & microwave/toaster-oven in the corner behind you.

I have LOTS of allergies.....
(LOL! My last allergic reaction was to a medication -it started at the end of June and finally ended about 2 weeks ago.)
While birds don't carry the same nasty Bartonella henselae bacteria as felines do in saliva & around their nails, the same type of effect can happen with other irritants.
Tiels are rather dusty birds. Pet dander & the microscopic remnants of everything the bird stepped in were stuck to the claws and have now been pushed through the first layers of your skin.

Leave the antibiotics alone unless advised to take them by a Dr.
((Antibiotics should be one of those meds kept in a glass case marked "Use only in emergencies".))
Wash the area with soap & water, then use a cottonball to apply a topical disinfectant like Hydrogen Peroxide to the scratches themselves. Keep monitoring them.
If it gets worse or the redness & swelling doesn't go away in a 4-5 days, then contact your Dr.
