Wow look at these birds!

I sometimes browse the local ads and mostly it's "boring" birds for sale: doves, budgies, etc. Today someone has posted a bunch of birds for sale that are really rare and beautiful! I had no idea that there were different kinds of Macaws for instance. How much do you think that Harlequin goes for? (In case I ever win the lottery!)

What do you think of a breeder that has all these kinds of birds for sale, and doesn't have a website or address unless you email them? Do you think it's a bird mill, or legit?

Hmmm.... my first instinct, to be honest, is to think it's a scam (i.e., the person posting these ads doesn't in fact have any birds and is trying to get people to fork over money for something they'll never get). I'm pretty cynical, but the combination of factors you mentioned sends up a red flag to me. Could be legit, but I think the odds are low.

none of those birds are rare, but I agree they all are beautiful.

I would say the harelquin would go anywhere from $1500 -$2200.

It's absolutely not a scam or a bird mill of any sort...I know that breeder personally (I'm talking about the ads that say "please contact" - not the ones with misspellings, etc). I got my Hahns from them and they are amazing. The ones in her ad are the clutchmates of my Beaker. I can't speak for her, but my guess is that she only wants serious inquiries and that's why she lists the ads the way she does. Her website is AZparrots</AZParrots><meta><title>AZParrots and her name is Dee Kennedy. She is an amazing lady and does an incredible job raising all of her babies.

Great! At least she can spell right. I was talking about the miss-spelt ad being a scam tho. Great website too!!!!
