GW Macaw owners, help please

I want a smaller perch for Cola that I can roll around the house. Would this be ok? PARROT/BIRD/STAND/PLAY GYM/PERCHES/CAGE/cages-p262 - eBay (item 120350365174 end time Dec-21-08 17:13:23 PST)

I already have a big play stand, just looking for more compact when I am in different parts of the house. When she sits her tail hangs straight down, I wondered if it wouldn't drag on this one, but I don't want her too high. She has a bit of height aggression that I am working on.

No GW here but I'd have to say NO.

Cola will climb to the top and you've already learned the high aggression concerns. Plus I'd be worried about her weight pulling it off balance.

NO!! You'd probably be better off making on out of PVC and sisal rope.

Sorry

Glenda I have one that is similar but stronger and better. Let me dig up a pic - you will really like it. Its very stable and doesnt have the place to climb up to the top of the toy hanger. Let me go see if I can find one online.....
I notice your in Indy and Chuck Reed has them - he comes to your state for fairs. Im getting a second one I love it so much

I have one similar and yes the tail will drag on the tray. All of mine climb to the top of the toy hanger on it as well. I also had to replace the perch on it because it was too small for my Macaws feet.

Here it is. Its allot stronger and it looks awsome in black (kinda dark grey) that pan takes right out easy and its smooth and easy to clean. The toy hook is too flimsy for him to climb so he doesnt and it works. Like I said - we have another orderd that I will pick up in Feb at the Ohio fair he puts on. Chucks a good guy and if you call ahead he can get the color you want. I like the sand color too but I want them to match. His double Mac cage price is aWSOME too with no shipping if you pick them up at a show. He says he is out but I bet if you call him he can get one. I have that in sand color and it looks right with all my skins and heads tooo.lol!!

You will like that stand. Call him and see when and where he is coming to Indy. I am planning on getting Coyotes soon. We are looking at coyote getting gear right now. I dont care to trap but I love the hides. They are getting to be a problem around here and feeding on peoples pets - moving back into town and such.
When I got the stand we puorposley twisted the toy hook to hold the toy just off to the side of the perch more so we could hang a bigger toy. Gave him more room on the perch as well. Just attach it and pull hard to one side.
