Ideas for birdroom

Hey all, I'm hoping to get some ideas for a bird room. In the next month or so I'll be moving and Gypsy and Harvey will finally have their own room!! I wanted to get some ideas of how to go about making it practical and fun for them at the same time. I will be converting a spare bedroom for them. Also, what about safety features? I would like to be able to leave them in the room unattened for maybe 5 minutes or so, rather than having to put them back in their cages like I do now. What things will need special attention? Also, if any of you would like to share photos of your birdrooms, I'd appreciate it!

Hi, you are going to have fun with their room. I made curtains from a macaw material and plan to do border. Like a jungle design. I have my TAG, RFM and GCC in this room. It has a nice size window and beside each of their cages (hanging) is a gym of sort. Two are grapevine and one is the jolly ball. This way when I open their doors they have the option to play ontop of their cages or on their gyms until I bring them out on their trees in the livingroom or out in their aviary when the weather is nice. They have so much to keep them busy out and around their cages that I have never had a problem with them leaving their cage area. Good luck and have fun.

i painted my walls sky blue and did a cloud technique on the walls and ceiling. I hung natural wood swings from the ceiling, too.

I put a french door on my birdroom so I can sit on my sofa and still watch my birds. :)
